Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions about Recreational Soccer

What happens after I register?

Once registration closes, teams go thru the building process.  Coaches are then identified, and then they are given a roster of players including contact information for each player.  The coaches will then contact players to provide: practice days, times, and team meeting information.  This usually occurs prior to the Recreational Coaches meeting or at least 1week prior to the first weekend of games.

What equipment do I need?

All players will need shin guards, water, a correct size soccer ball, and soccer shoes for each practice and game.  For players playing U4-U8 a size 3 ball is used.  Players in the U9-12 age groups a size 4 ball is used.  Players playing U13 and older a size 5 ball is used.

Volunteer coaches decide on the best location and practice days/times.  Typically teams train 1 to 2 times during the week.  Games are played on the weekend.

Most divisions will have teams play 8 games per season.  The games are on Saturdays with an occasional Sunday afternoon.

Does Registration include a Uniform?
